So you may have seen on the site a new banner about the Reynard City short story collection available through the merchandise pagemerchandise page
What we are going to look at today is why I wrote it, why there are more to come and to shoutout some people along the way!
For those of you who haven’t seen it or need a refresh here is John Paul Guerra to introduce the comic to you.
Now I first started working on the project ten years ago so inevitably the story has changed over time and there are a few plot points that people have commented on. The aim of this short story collection is to go into a bit more depth.
However it’s not just that- you will also be getting artwork from the proposed graphic novel we were going to do with Deviantart artist GreyofPTA, plus illustrations from Patreon artists Jen Clare and William Butler (including an additional mini comic strip).
Finally some of you may be wondering “but what happened to Squirmy’s Revenge Pt 2?” Here’s the thing- with these short stories we will be finishing off the stories that would’ve come up in the main comic, leading to the eventual ending. Patreon backers have already received these short stories but I can promise them that future collections will include some additional extras.
Of course this is not the first collection available on the site (and I’m happy to say it won’t be the last!)
You may also have seen The Perfect Platinum Collection, a collection of the issues and bonus stories that make up the Perfect Platinum story arc. On top of that there is also an introduction by various people who have worked on the project and their insight into both the characters and the creative process. The Perfect Platinum Collection
Finally for those of you who missed it this week saw the announcement of a special guest at our Norcon table, RayeRayeChan who will be joining us at our table. Below are some pics of her work, plus some other cosplayers who have worked with us!
Just to be clear the reason we can do these events and support our artists is through your funding- whether it is through crowdfunding, buying merchandise or Patreon It can’t be stated enough- if everyone who followed us on Twitter gave us $1 a month we’d have over $5000, so a little donation could make a massive difference to the long term of our project.
If you have any questions about how you can support Reynard City or would like to know more please email us email@example.com and we’ll be happy to have a chat! Thanks once again for all your fanart, stories, roleplays and chats on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram etc, you all rock!
